Robin English's Velvet-Covered Brick packs hit after hit, with two top-twenty hits in the Texas charts and more to come. From the humorous and thought-provoking rewrite of the classic "Mama's Don't Let Your Cowboys Grow Up To Be Babies" to the rich story telling and gritty harmonica playing on "Cotton Field Girl," this album is deep with artistry and entertainment and well worth the investment.

In a storm of long, golden hair, Robin English mesmerizes her audience with gutsy harmonica riffs and her unmistakable sultry, powerful voice. " This Texas gal ... has been... gathering fans and believers in her wake " (Nashville Music Guide). Those who hear her, are blown away: " Robin English is a force of nature, " American Songwriter /Music Row Magazine 's music journalist, Larry Wayne Clark. Robin's single on Sony/Columbia, " Girl In Love ," was on GAC's Top Ten videos and Billboard's Top Single Sales for more than 8 months. She has been receiving standing ovations opening for Willie Nelson. Willie said "she knocked 'em out!" There's no doubt that " Robin English is a pure artist who needs to be heard...the sooner the better. " (Hal Ketchum).

Like many artists, Robin grew up in a musical family and moved to Nashville to pursue her dream. She and her band played in clubs all over town. She wrote over 500 songs with more than 130 songwriters. During that time, she joined a group called the Young Riders which included her friends Blake Shelton, Rachel Proctor, and Ryan Murphey. Before long, the buzz reached Music Row.

Robin signed her first record deal in 2000 with Sony/Columbia Records. Sony was so impressed with her production style, they asked her to coproduce an album with several acclaimed producers. During the following year, she recorded with Paul Worley, Kyle Lehning, George Massenburg, and Kim McLean. Her single, " Girl In Love " came out just three weeks before the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

Despite the confusion of a nation in mourning and a label in disarray, "Girl In Love" was on GAC's Top Ten videos and was on Billboard's Top Single Sales for more than 8 months. After 5 downsizes at Sony which ultimately ended in a complete regime change, Robin asked to be released. She used this time to work on new music and bolster her efforts with her band. Since then, Robin has opened for many headliners including Clint Black, Hal Ketchum, Roger Creager, Will Hoge, Brad Paisley, Joe Diffee, Mark Chesnutt, and most recently, Willie Nelson. She also had the great honor of entertaining our troops.

In December 2005, Robin signed a new deal with Brass Ring Records. In early 2006, she finished the video for her single, " I'm The One ," which was seen on CMT.com. In 2007, Velvet Covered Brick stayed in the Texas charts and made Robin English one of the Top 40 most played artists for the whole year. Drawing from her heritage and experience, Robin English is a true artist with a Texas soul.
